Club Deportivo Washinkai Karate have been established over 5 years on the Costa Blanca. Instructor Ray Sweeney is a 3rd Dan and a qualified grading examiner & coach in both Spain and the UK. Ray teaches Washinkai, a fast, evasive Wado ryu based style of karate which contains locks, throws & sweeps as well as the usual blocks, kicks and strikes of karate. The Club is registered with & supported by Javea Ayuntamiento and meets 19 times per week at Colegio el Arenal, Javea Municipal Sports Centre and Xabia International College.
