Tape Library Controller The Tape Library Controller developed by our engineers connects one or more customer applications such as backup software or hierarchical storage management software to one or more Automated Mixed Media Libraries. Its basic function is to improve the connectivity for both the hosts and Libraries. Library Controller is physically located between these two entities and serves as a centralized management tool that allows multiple applications to share one Library as well as allowing multiple libraries to be presented as one large library to customer application software. Library Controller also incorporates powerful management features to simplify and automate the tracking and management of all system resources in order to improve the overall system Reliability Availability and Service ability.
