Laura Hughes is a visual artist based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Born in Toronto in 1973, Hughes received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 1997. Her paintings are included in collections throughout Western Canada including the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. Awards received include a Creation/Production Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.
