SMILE" (Situational Management & Inter-Learning Establishment) is a NGO working for the poor, slum, street, orphan children in the developing countries like India. "SMILE" welcome all the International long, middle and short term volunteers as well as the work camp volunteers from around the world to work with us. Our main purpose is to "give smile all the children" around the world. The children who cannot eat properly, cannot go to school, have to beg money & food every day on the street, have lost their parents or have nobody to support them, children who cannot live their life because of the essential requirements of human beings, we like to support them. "SMILE" is trying to provide love, support, minimum education & minimum requirements to live and study to the children in such stage. At the same time "SMILE" gives all the volunteers the opportunity to work with the needy children in the developing countries like India.
Homestays and cultural exchange programs can be arranged in most areas of Nepal. Participants will be placed with a Nepali family in a small rural village or within a city for the duration of their stay. This provides the volunteers with an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food and people.
Volunteers should remember that this is a cultural exchange and that an effort to offer some knowledge of their own home culture and customs to the family with whom they stay is expected.
Participants in the program will not go through training in Nepal with the other volunteers. During their home-stay, volunteers will attend 2 hours of language lessons in the morning and in the afternoon. They will also have the opportunity to visit and help out at the local school.
Homestay Programs are best organized from August to December which is the time when most large local festivals take place resulting in an overall more exciting experience for the volunteer. Nepali culture is distinctively friendly and open and participants are made to feel as though they are part of the family.
HOPE AND HOME : Volunteer Program is for foreign volunteers who wish to render their services to Nepal. We send trained volunteer to schools and communities to generate awareness regarding environmental issue, sanitation, income generating initiative, teaching English and health care.
